titleOfInvention | Inhibition of parathyroid hormone secretion |
abstract | Parathyroid Hormone, when excessively synthesized, induces pathologic bone resorption and demineralization and results in hypocalcemia which produces toxic effects in soft tissues. Non-toxic water-soluble pharmaceutically acceptable compound derivative of peroxydiphosphoric acid, administered orally or systemically, inhibits parathyroid hormone induced bone resorption in vitro and in vivo in warm blooded animals. |
