abstract There is provided a method of preparation of 2,4,5-tribromopyrrole-3-carbonitrile compounds in a single deacylative bromination step from their 2-trihaloacetylpyrrole-4-carbonitrile precursors. The 2,4,5-tribromopyrrole-3-carbonitrile compounds are useful as molluscicidal agents.
