abstract |
A polyurethane polymer is prepared from a reaction mixture comprising (a) a polyisocyanate component; and (b) an active hydrogen component containing (i) at least about 50 weight percent based on total active hydrogen component of at least one polyether polyol having an average nominal functionality of at least about 3 and containing at least about 50 weight percent oxyethylene units said polyether polyol not being ethylene oxide capped. The polyurethane polymer is a hydrocarbon resistant elastomer suitable for use in environments wherein it is exposed to hydrocarbons. |
