Novel 4H-triazolo[4,3-a][1,4]benzodiazepines of the formula ##STR1## wherein R 1 and R 2 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl of 1 to 5 carbon atoms and R 3 , R 4 , R 5 and R 6 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, --OH, alkyl and alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, --NH 2 , --NHalk wherein alk is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, ##STR2## and alk 1 and alk 2 are individually alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, halogen, --NO 2 and --CF 3 in any position of the benzene rings with the proviso that R 5 and R 6 are not both hydrogen and their non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts having good analgesic activity. |
