abstract An electrolytic capacitor comprising a stack of capacitor elements, each capacitor element comprising an anode foil having a dielectric oxide layer as well as a cathode contact layer having a solid electrolytic material, and a readily mechanizable method of manufacturing such a capacitor is achieved in that the cathode contact layer has a porous spacing layer which is impregnated with the solid electrolytic material.
