abstract | A light-sensitive material comprising a light-sensitive layer containing silver halide, a reducing agent, a polymerizable compound and a leuco dye provided on a support, characterized in that the leuco dye has the following formula (I): <IMAGE> (I) in which each of R1 and R2 independently is hydrogen, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group or an aryl group, or R1 and R2 together with the neighboring nitrogen atom form a 5- or 6-membered ring; X is hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, -NHCOR3 or -OCOR4 (each of R3 and R4 is an alkyl group or an aryl group) or -NR5R6 (R5 and R6 have the same meanings as for R1 and R2); Y is an alkyl group or an aralkyl group; Z is hydrogen, an alkyl group or an aryl group; and each of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, X, Y, Z and the benzene ring A may have one or more substituent groups. |
