abstract Extrusion lubricants for poly (vinyl halide) resins are provided which comprise a mixture of: n (a) hydrocarbon wax; and n (b) Group II metal or lead salt of a fatty acid in relative amounts sufficient to produce a composition having a viscosity in excess of about 10,000 cps at 125° C.; and n (c) an organic mercaptan capable of reducing the viscosity of said mixture in an amount at least sufficient to reduce the viscosity of said mixture below about 10,000 cps at 125° C.
