An antigel composition for hydrocarbon fuels for combustion in motors, engines, turbines, and furnaces comprises: (a) a polar oxygenated long chain hydrocarbon having a defined acid number, a defined saponification number, and a defined molecular weight; (b) a low molecular weight addition polymer or copolymer, preferably of ethylene and vinyl acetate; (c) optionally, a hydrophilic conditioner, selected from the group consisting of glycols, glycol diether, and half ethers preferably a methyl half ether of a glycol; and (d) optionally, a compatibilizing agent, preferably having a solubility parameter from about 8.8 to about 11.5, more preferably an alcohol having from 4 to 13 carbon atoms. |
