abstract An estrogen sulfotransferase inhibitor composition comprises a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R 1 is F, Br, NO 2 , or H; R 2 is F, Br, NO 2 , NH 2 , or H; R is H or alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms; R 3 is O or H 2 ; and R 4 is H 2 , O, or α-H, β-OH; R 5 is H 2 , α-H and β-OH or B-H and α-OH in admixture with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier with the proviso that R 1 , R 2 and R 3 cannot all be hydrogen and one of R 1 and R 2 is F.
