A laminated article which comprises n a layer (A) of a saponified ethylene--vinyl acetate copolymer resin having an ethylene content of 20-55% by mole and a degree of saponification of not less than 90% by mole; laminated with n a layer (B) of a hydrophobic thermoplastic resin; through the medium of n a layer (C) of an adhesive resin; said adhesive resin contains n a polymer (X) comprising ethylene component--vinyl acetate component--ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid component or anhydride thereof--styrene type vinyl compound component, and n a copolymer (Y) comprising ethylene component--vinyl acetate component, n in an amount satisfying specific formulae, n and the process for production thereof, n which has a remarkably excellent adhesion between layers, as well as excellent mechanical characteristics and gas barrier properties, and is adapted to a container for foods and packaging material. |
