Silver halide color photographic material |
abstract |
A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having provided thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the photographic material contains a compound having a dye portion in which the maximum absorption wavelength is shifted by a bond that is cleaved upon reaction with an oxidation product of a developing agent and is capable of forming a diffusion resistant compound having a dye portion possessing the maximum absorption wavelength which is not shifted as a result of the reaction with an oxidation product of a developing agent. By the use of the compound which permits a large degree of freedom with respect to selection of the dye for forming a color image according to the present invention, the color photographic material has an excellent image quality, and a good fastness of image or a high sensitivity. |
