abstract Bis(benzilyloxy) compounds having the general formula ##STR1## wherein Ph is --C 6 H 5 and Ar is Ph, --C 6 H 4 Br, --C 6 H 4 CH 3 or --C 6 H 4 C 2 H 5 . These compounds can be reacted with bis(o-diamines) to form polyquinoxalines which can be converted to thermally stable compositions by non-volatile, intramolecular cyclization.
