abstract An acid scavenger additive for a one-component, acyloxy-functional RTV composition. The acid scavenger is selected from magnesium materials, zinc materials, and aluminum materials. The acid scavenger prevents a discoloration of the metallic substrate and a decrease in bonding properties of the RTV composition to the substrate on which it is applied.
