abstract An intraocular lens which may be inserted into the eye through a smaller incision in the cornea than another lens with an optic of the same diameter and is adapted to seat adjacent the periphery of the iris. The optic is deformable so that the optic may be in contracted condition while the lens is being inserted through the incision.
