titleOfInvention | Process for making lithographic film using photopolymer diffusion modulation layer for pigmented bottom layer |
abstract | Photopolymerizable element for preparation of lithographic film comprising (1) support (2) hydrophilic resin layer containing dispersed metal particles, e.g., silver, and (3) photopolymerizable layer comprising a hydrophilic macromolecular organic polymeric dispersion, e.g., gelatin medium, including a dispersed phase of ethylenically unsaturated monomer and photoinitiator or photoinitiator system. The element can form a negative lithographic film after imagewise exposure by bleaching, rinsing, optionally fixing and drying. A positive lithographic film is prepared after imagewise exposure by immersing in bath containing compound which generates sulfide ions and treating with bleach solution followed by rinsing and drying. |
