Substituted 1-azolyl-but-2-ones and -2-ols of the formula <IMAGE> in which B is -CO- or -CH(OH)- Az represents a 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl or -4-yl or imidazol-1-yl radical, R1 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkylalkyl, optionally substituted phenoxyalkyl or optionally substituted aralkyl radical, n is 0 or 1, R2 represents a cyano radical or a grouping of the general formula -X-R3 or -CO-NR4R5, or, if n does not represent O at the same time as R1 represents a hydrogen atom and Az represents a 1,2,4-triazolyl radical, R2 also additionally represents an optionally substituted aryl or alkoxycarbonyl radical, and wherein X represents an oxygen or sulphur atom or an SO or SO2 group, R3 represents an alkyl, halogenoalkyl, optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted aralkyl radical, R4 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or optionally substituted aryl radical, and R5 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical, or acid addition salts or metal salt complexes thereof which possess fungicidal activity and plant growth regulatory and which can be reduced to the corresponding alcohols which are also fungicidally active. |
