This invention is a method of removing alkaline catalysts from polyether polyols and polyalkylene carbonate polyols which comprises (a) dissolving a polyether polyol or a polyalkylene carbonate polyol in a polar aprotic solvent; (b) contacting the polyether polyol or polyalkylene carbonate polyol solution with a sufficient amount of an adsorbent which adsorbs alkaline catalysts to adsorb the alkaline catalysts, at a temperature of between about -30 DEG C. and 110 DEG C. under conditions such that the adsorbent adsorbs the alkaline catalysts; and (c) physically separating the adsorbent from the polyol solution. |
