abstract A filled resin composition having thixotropic properties is prepared by blending (a) a liquid polyester resin, and (b) a solid filler (such as calcium carbonate), which has been treated with an effective amount of a polymer prepared from (1) an addition polymerizable organic monomer which does not contain an acid group and (2) an addition polymerizable acid. The preferred polymer is ethylene/acrylic acid.
