abstract A dental inset for cooperative retainment about a tooth of an external max band by a retainer is presented. The matrix band is provided with oppositely disposed end portions and the inset connects the end portions of the matrix band where the end portions divaricate from the tooth so that a 360 degree matrix which readily adapts to the cervical circumference of the molar teeth is provided.
