abstract Polytetramethyleneterephthalate is modified with incorporation of 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol. The diol component of the polyester comprises 1 to 99 mol % of tetramethylene glycol and 99 to 1 mol % of 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol. Alternatively polytetramethylene terephthalate is combined with 0.1 to 25 wt. %, based thereon, of poly-2-methyl-1,3-propylene terephthalate.
