abstract | Solid catalyst components produced by reacting an organomagnesium compound with an alkoxy compound of the formula, R1aAl(OR2)bXc wherein R1 and R2 are each a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, X is a halogen atom and a, b and c are numbers satisfying the equations at the same time, 0</=a<3, 0<b</=3, 0</=c<3, and a+b+c=3 and/or of the formula, R3dP(OR4)eXf wherein R3 and R4 are each a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, X is a halogen atom, and d, e and f are numbers satisfying the equations at the same time, 0</=d<3, 0<e</=3, 0</=f<3, and d+e+f=3 to produce a solid product, and allowing the solid product to support a titanium compound and/or a vanadium compound, and a method for producing polyolefins which comprises polymerizing olefin in the presence of a catalyst system comprising said solid catalyst component and an organoaluminum compound. |
