A new technique for combating helminthic parasites in an animal, e.g. a sheep or cow, comprises applying to the skin of the animal an anthelmintic amount of an anthelmintic compound, e.g. 4,5,6-trichloro-7-(diethylsulphamoyl)-2-(trifluoromethyl) benzimidazole, tetramisole or levamisole, whereby the compound is absorbed by the animal through its skin. |
