abstract An electric double layer capacitor comprising a pair of polarization electrodes and an electrolyte disposed in-between and utilizing an electric double layer formed at the interface between the polarization electrodes and the electrolyte, wherein the polarization electrodes comprise a carbon electrode material and polyvinylpyrrolidone as a binder thereof; and therefore adherence, conductivity and a molding characteristic of the carbon electrode material are increased thereby improving characteristics as the capacitive device and reliability of the electric double layer capacitor.
