abstract |
A process for preparing hexamethyleneimine from hexamethylenediamine, which comprises continuously reacting hexamethylenediamine at about 70 to 180 DEG C. in an inert solvent using a nickel catalyst and/or cobalt catalyst while maintaining the concentrations of hexamethyleneimine and hexamethylenediamine in the reaction mixture at 10% by weight or less and 25% by weight or less, respectively, by removing the hexamethyleneimine from the reaction system as soon as the hexamethyleneimine is formed. |
