abstract This invention relates to compounds having the formula: <IMAGE> (I) which represents the isomer Z, the isomer E or the mixture of both stereoisomers of the oximino group and in which: A represents O or S, X1 represents a halogen atom, a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl group, X2 and X3, which may be the same or different, represent each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl group, and R' represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-5 alkyl group, and the group <IMAGE> is at 2- or 3-position on the heterocycle, and the salts of acids of the formula (I) with physiologically acceptable bases, and the compounds which are metabolically converted to compounds of the formula (I). Said compounds are therapeutically useful, typically as hypocholesterolemic, hypolipemic and uricosuric agents.
