A composite resinous composition is provided, which essentially comprises an aromatic hydrocarbon resin and an epoxy resin. The aromatic resin has its source from petroleum fractions produced during the thermal cracking of naphtha, kerosene or gas oil. Such fractions boiling in the range of 140 DEG -280 DEG C. are polymerized with a relatively large amount of phenols, the resulting polymer being highly compatible with commercially available epoxy resins. |
