abstract |
This invention relates to a gas shielded-type coated arc welding electrode, more particularly to the coated electrode consisting of a mild steel core and coating material which comprises 20 - 40% organic material by weight of a total coating material, and 5 - 25% anhydrous sodium silicate by weight of said of organic material wherein the molar ratio of SiO2/Na2O within said of anhydrous sodium silicate is 2.5 - 3.5. Such an electrode displays improved coating material moisture resistance and usability. |
