abstract A process for printing and dyeing textile materials consists in treating in the absence of alkali, with an epoxide of the general formula <IMAGE> IN WHICH Y represents a member for the completion of a 5-membered to 7-membered ring, R1 represnts a C1-C4-alkyl group or a C2-C4-alkyl group which is substituted by an OH group, preferably the methyl group, R2 represents hydrogen or methyl, Xn(-) represents an anion and N REPRESENTS 1, 2 OR 3, AND, AFTER THE LATTER HAS BEEN FIXED, IN DYEING WITH AN ANIONIC DYESTUFF BY KNOWN METHODS.
