abstract The present invention relates to a liquid-crystal indicator, wherein a layer of nematic liquid crystals is interposed between two transparent multi-layered blocks. Each of the multi-layered blocks comprises successively disposed, in a direction from the layer of the liquid crystals, a layer of germanium oxide ensuring a twisted structure of the liquid crystals, a current-conducting layer, a dielectric layer and a polarizing layer. The use of germanium oxide makes it possible to lower the control voltage of the indicator to values of below 1.8 V.
