Chromium base alloy composite materials having high corrosion resistance, idation resistance and tensile strength at high temperatures are produced by laminating and arranging silicon carbide fibers containing 0.01-20% by weight of free carbon, which have been produced by the specific method already disclosed in U.S. patent application Ser. No. 677,960, in volume fraction of 2-50% in chromium base alloy and by compressing and sintering the assembly. |
