abstract |
Coal-containing shaped bodies are made by intimately mixing particulate coal with 10 to 30 percent by weight of a polymer. The mixture is shaped by subjecting it to a pressure between about 295 and 3430 newtons per square centimeter. Shaping takes place within a temperature range of 100 DEG to 250 DEG C. The shaped bodies have high compressive and bending strengths and can be precisely dimensioned. |
