A process of supplying fluoride to teeth comprising applying to the teeth a source of fluoride ions and an orthophosphoric acid solution having a pH of about 3-4, then neutralizing the pH to about 7 with an aqueous neutralizing solution containing calcium ions and phosphate ions, wherein there is present about a stoichiometric amount of the phosphate ions relative to the calcium ions, the neutralizing solution having a pH of about 7. |
