abstract Mixing methylvinyldi-(epsilon-caprolactamo)silane with an organosiloxane having silicon-bonded hydroxyl radicals increases the molecular weight by chain extension. This method is particularly useful in making high molecular weight polydiorganosiloxanes containing vinyl radicals from hydroxyl endblocked polydiorganosiloxane fluids.
