abstract A method for the preparation of organopolysiloxane-polyether copolymers where the polysiloxane blocks are linked to the polyether blocks through SiOC linkages is disclosed wherein a mixture of organo halogen silanes and organopolysiloxanes are equilibrated using a novel mixed catalyst of a hydrogen halide acid and a peralkylated acid amide. The process produces copolymers having improved shelf life which produce polyurethane foams having excellent stability and other advantages.
