abstract | alpha -Cyanoamine compounds represented by the following formula or an acid addition salt thereof <IMAGE> WHEREIN R1 is a halogen atom or lower alkoxy group, R2 and R3 are a hydrogen atom or lower alkoxy group, R4 is a hydrogen atom or lower alkyl group, R 5 is a hydrogen atom, -COOR6 (R6 is lower alkyl group), <IMAGE> (R7 is lower alkoxy group, m is a numeral 0-3), -R8-COOR9 (R8 is lower alkylene group, R9 is lower alkyl group), / <IMAGE> (R10 and R11 are a hydrogen atom or lower alkyl group, or R10 and R11 jointly form alkylene group), or <IMAGE> (R1 to R4 are the same as defined above) and n is a numeral 2 or 3; but it is excluded when R5 is hydrogen atom or -COOR6 (R6 is the same as defined above) and n is a numeral 2, which are produced by reacting aromatic carbonyl compounds with piperazine or homopiperazine compounds in the presence of hydrogen cyanide or salts thereof, or which are alternatively produced by reaction N-( alpha -cyanobenzyl)-piperazines of N-( alpha -cyanobenzyl)homopiperazines or acid addition salts thereof with halogenated compounds. |
