abstract An improved composition for fueling an internal combustion engine equipped with at least one carburetor which comprises a major amount of hydrocarbons boiling in the gasoline boiling range, a minor amount of at least one detergent, and a minor amount of mineral oil of lubricating viscosity comprising at least about 50% by weight of aromatic hydrocarbons having an average molecular weight in the range from about 300 to about 700 the detergent and oil both being present in the composition in amounts sufficient to inhibit formation of deposits on the carburetor. n An improved method for fueling such an engine using the composition described above is also disclosed.
