The method of preparing cycloolefines consists in that, according to the invention, the corresponding cyclodienes are hydrogenated with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst which is an alloy of palladium with ruthenium or rhodium, the ruthenium content of the alloy being from 1 to 11 per cent (preferably 10 per cent) by weight, and the rhodium content being from 1 to 5 per cent (preferably 2 per cent) by weight, respectively. The hydrogenation is carried out at temperatures from room temperature to 220 DEG C, at a pressure from 1 to 1.5 atm. |
