abstract Eradication of oak and other woody plants is obtained through a synergistic effect derived from the application of herbicides of two different groups wherein the first group consists of a chlorinated aliphatic acid which can be trichloroacetic acid or 2,2-dichloropropionic acid; and the second group consists of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, 2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyacetic acid, 2,4-dichlorophenoxypropionic acid, 2,4,5-trichlorophenoxypropionic acid, 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid, 3,6-dichloro-o-anisic acid, 2,3,6-trichlorobenzoic acid and 4-amino-3,5,6-trichloropicolinic acid.
