abstract Alkaline concentrate and aqueous solution for removing lubricant carrier and residue from iron containing surfaces. The alkaline solution contains phosphate ions and either cobalt or nickel ions or a mixture of the two. Use of the solution helps prevent inter stage rusting and the problems resulting therefrom.
