abstract The present invention relates to compounds of type I: wherein R1 and R2 are hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, aralkyl, aryl, alkoxy, acylamino, hydroxy, or taken together R1 and R2 form an aromatic ring. These compounds are prepared from the corresponding o-hydroxy- omega -(methylsulfinyl)acetophenones. These compounds are useful in alleviating allergic manifestations.
