abstract This invention relates to a process for the separation by distillation of ketazines from a crude aqueous synthesis mixture containing them, which comprises adjusting the pH of the mixture to between about 8.5 and 12 by the addition of a base or an acid and distilling the crude reaction mixture during a period of 30 minutes or less at a reduced pressure so that the distillation column base temperature does not exceed about 85*C.
