abstract A method for preparing D(-)- Alpha -amino-benzylpenicillin directly from natural penicillins by an one-stage process. The natural penicillins are esterified, transformed into iminochloride and then into iminoethers which is reacted simultaneously with water and chloride of phenylglycine hydrochloride to give the desired product.
