abstract | Heat developable photographic materials having at least one photosensitive layer on a support, this layer containing the following components: A. AN ORGANIC SILVER SALT, B. A CATALYTIC AMOUNT OF A PHOTOSENSITIVE SILVER HALIDE OR A COMPOUND WHICH REACTS WITH THE ORGANIC SILVER SALT (A) TO PRODUCE A PHOTOSENSITIVE SILVER HALIDE, C. A REDUCING AGENT, D. A BINDER, AND E. AS A SENSITIZER, AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COMPOUNDS (I) and (II): Ar1 - N N - Ar2 (I) Ar3 - N N - Ar4 - N N - Ar5 (II) wherein Ar1, Ar2Ar3 and Ar5 each represents an aryl group and Ar4 represents an arylene group, with the proviso that at least one of Ar1 and Ar2, and at least one of Ar3, Ar4 and Ar5 are substituted with -SO3M or -COOM, M being a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom, an alkaline earth metal atom, or a -NH4 group. The sensitizer (e) has a particularly excellent sensitizing effect. |
