abstract Isocyanate hardenable binder compositions for use in making foundry cores and moulds are composed of an ethylenically unsaturated long chain alkyl substituted phenol or a polymer thereof and a catalyst for the hardening reaction. The catalyst is an amine and/or an organic tin compound. The composition is mixed with a polyisocyanate to form a binder system.
