abstract Synthetic thermoplastic multifilament yarns with improved quality in coherency and smoothness having at most 100 twists per meter carrying about 0.5 to 3.0 percent, based on the weight of the yarns, of a treating agent comprising essentially a lubricating agent, a self-emulsifying phosphorous-containing surface active agent and a polyacrylic sizing agent, the polyacylic size being present in about 0.02 to 0.25 percent, based on the weight of the yarns.
