abstract Diphenyl(3-dialkylaminopropyl)-silanes, e.g., vinyldiphenyl-(3dimethylaminopropyl)-silane, are prepared by reacting a Grignard reagent, e.g., 3-dimethylaminopropylmagnesium chloride, with a diphenylchlorosilane. The resulting compounds are useful as hypotensive/antihypertensive agents, tranquilizing agents, and diuretic agents.
