TO 390*F. FOR A PERIOD OF TIME UNTIL THE MOISTURE CONTENT IS REDUCED TO NO MORE THAN 15% WEIGHT OF WATER; MILLING AND COLLECTING A FRACTION OF AT LEAST -80 MESH OF THE MILLED AND DRIED WASTE MATERIAL; EXTRACTING SAID FRACTION MATERIAL A FIRST TIME WITH AN ALKALINE-BRINE SOLUTION HAVING A PH OF GREATER THAN 9; ACIDIFYING THE MOTHER LIQUOR OF SAID FIRST EXTRACTED MATERIAL WITH AN ACID IN A SOLUTION HAVING A PH OF FROM 1 TO 5.5; EXTRACTING THE PRECIPITATED MATERIAL FROM THE ACIDIFIED SOLUTION A SECOND TIME BY DISSOLVING SAID PRECIPITATE IN AN ALKALINE-BRINE SOLUTION HAVING A PH OF GREATER THE 9; AND ACIDIFYING SAID SECOND EXTRACTED MATERIAL TO A PH OF FROM 1 TO 5.5 THEREBY PRECIPITATING THE PURE URIC ACID SO PRODUCED FROM THE SUPERNATANT LIQUID.
