IN THE METHOD OF THIS INVENTION THE SOLVENT SOLUTION IS SHAPED AND THEREAFTER COAGULATED IN A BATH COMPRISED OF AT LEAST 60% BY WEIGHT OF METHANOL. THE SHAPED ARTICLES, FOR EXAMPLE, FILAMENTS, BECAUSE OF THEIR SUPERIOR PROPERTIES, ARE ESPECIALLY USEFUL AS TEXTILE FIBERS.
