THE INVENTION RELATES TO THE METHOD OF SELECTIVE CATATYTIC HYDROGENATION OF KETO GROUPS IN HETEROPOLYCYCLIC COMPOUNDS THE STEPS COMPRISING REACTING AT AMBINET TEMPERATURES HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS COMPRISING KETO GROUPS IN A MINERAL ACID OVER A CATALYST IN THE PRESENCE OF HYDROGEN, AFTER REMOVING THE CATALYST THE FILTRATE IS MADE ALKALINE, EXTRACTED, AND DRIED THUS PROVIDING THE HYDROGENATEDNON-KETO HETEROPOLYCYCLIC COMPOUNDS. THE COMPOUNDS THUS PRODUCED CAN BE EMPLOYED AS INTERMEDIATES IN THE PRODUCTION OF ANTIOXIDANTS FOR EXAMPLE. |
