A hair dye composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion in which the dye is dissolved or finely dispersed in the oil phase. The composition contains a coupling agent (e.g., water soluble alkylene glycols or alkylene glycol ether alcohols; longchain fatty acid soaps; or long-chain fatty compound polyoxyalkyl or polyhydroxyalkyl derivatives) which imparts stability to the emulsion. The composition may contain a propellant and be dispensed from an aerosol container. |
